Executive Director

Melanie I. Salazar serves as the Executive Director, Inner Healing & Deliverance Minister, Event Speaker, and Prophetic Worship Leader at Breath of Life Ministry. As the founder and visionary behind the ministry, Melanie carries a deep passion to see God’s people healed, restored, and walking in the fullness of their prophetic identity and purpose.

From an early age, Melanie encountered the presence of God through worship and prayer. Those formative experiences developed into a lifelong call to lead others into intimacy with the Father and to teach believers how to live sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Through powerful worship, intercession, and prophetic ministry, she creates an atmosphere where hearts are transformed and lives are set free.

My mission is to lead and collaborate with women, youth, and families and teach them how to live in the prophetic, grow in intimacy with the Father
through prayer and intercession, and encounter healing and deliverance.

As a seasoned singing prophet and bilingual speaker, Melanie has ministered across diverse communities, equipping women, youth, and families to live prophetically and experience breakthrough through the power of prayer. She operates in gifts of healing, deliverance, and words of knowledge, moving under a tangible anointing that ushers people into deeper encounters with God’s presence.

Melanie’s mission is rooted in Isaiah 61 — to proclaim freedom to the captives, bind up the brokenhearted, and release the oil of joy for those who mourn. Her ministry has become a refuge for many seeking restoration and spiritual renewal, offering a safe place for transformation through the Holy Spirit’s power.

As the Founder and Executive Director of Breath of Life Ministry, she continues to lead and collaborate with a growing network of ministers, worship leaders, and intercessors, all devoted to cultivating revival and healing in the lives of God’s people.

Melanie is also a gifted speaker and prophetic worship leader, often ministering at conferences, retreats, and worship gatherings where she teaches others how to live in the prophetic, grow in prayer, and encounter the Father’s heart.

She has been married to her husband, Dane, for 27 years, and together they have four children — Javier, Angel, Lucas, and Eliana. Residing in the suburbs of Chicago, Melanie finds joy in her family, her garden, and in moments of laughter with her sister, Erica, who partners with her in ministry.

Everything Melanie does flows from her desire to see people encounter the living God — to be healed, delivered, and equipped to walk in their divine calling with boldness and freedom.
